ABOUT THE TEAM

Julie Goldstone is an award-winning French-American director and photographer. Her first short film, The Elevator, had its premiere at New York Fashion Week and went on to win over a dozen international accolades. Julie lives in Los Angeles where she continues to be inspired by European cinema and the footage on her kids' camcorders.

Nat Mauldin is a WGA Award-winning comedy writer whose feature credits include Doctor Dolittle, The Preacher’s Wife, The In-Laws, Downtown and OpenSeason. He also worked as a story editor on such television series as Barney Miller, Newhart, It Takes Two, Have Faith and Night Court, which he also produced. He lives in Pasadena with his wife and too many dogs.

RK Russell is a former NFL defensive end turned author, filmmaker, and LGBTQ+ advocate. He made history in 2019 as the first active NFL player to come out as bisexual, using his platform to champion stories of identity, resilience, and authenticity. His critically acclaimed memoir The Yards Between Us was published by ESPN/Andscape/Disney Publishing, and he has contributed essays to The New York Times, The Guardian, and The Players' Tribune. As a storyteller, Russell brings a deeply human and intersectional lens to his creative work, with a focus on narratives that challenge norms and inspire connection. He is the founder of Red Velvet Productions and currently lives in Los Angeles, where he is developing film and television projects rooted in truth, grit, and heart.

Grace Sin is a filmmaker committed to championing underrepresented voices. Named one of DOC NYC’s 40 Under 40, she has established herself in the documentary space as Head of Production, Supervising Producer, and Consulting Line Producer. She has produced nonfiction content for networks including HBO, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon with projects premiering at Sundance, SXSW, and DOC NYC. Shifting her focus to independent producing, she is developing fiction and nonfiction projects helmed by women and filmmakers of color through her company PARADOXIC, including Seriesfest 2024 Best Digital Short Series winner, PROBLEMATIC for BRIC TV and Film Independent Fiscally Sponsored documentary, Gett Out: The Agunah Crisis. Grace is a Television Academy member and WIF Creative Producer Fellow.

Samantha Holden is a New York City–based casting director originally from a small town in upstate New York. Her love for cinema began with childhood trips to the local drive-in, and her passion for photography grew from collecting old magazine editorials. After studying at Full Sail University and acting in short films, she found her calling in casting—a perfect blend of directing and performance. In NYC, Sam trained under top casting directors before launching her own career. She now works across advertising, film, and fashion, with a focus on authenticity and inclusion to help move the industry toward greater diversity.
